The Nazarene Creed in Brief

There is one God, the creator of all things, who reveals himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Old and New Testament Scriptures were inspired by God and contain all truth neccessary to faith and Christian living.

People are sinners both by nature and act and need God's Forgiveness.

The finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.

Salvation through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; whoever repents and believes in the Lord Jesus Christ is forgiven, made new and saved from the control of sin.

Believers need the fullness of God's Spirit in their hearts. When we make a complete surrender and dedication of ourselves to him, he cleanses our lives, fills us with his perfect love, and gives us the power to live the Christian life victoriously.

Our Lord will return, and the dead will be raised to life, and the final judgement will take place.
